A lactation consultant is able to show you:
- Correct latch positions
- Feeding cues
- How to maintain a milk supply
- Pump with the correct parts
- How to care for all pump and bottle parts
- Nipple care
- Signs to make sure your baby is gaining weight
What to expect during your visit:
- We will have a conversation via phone or any communication line that is best for you and address your concerns.
- You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire regarding your baby and yourself prior to visit.
- We will schedule a visit either in the comfort of your home, in our office or virtually.
- During the visit there is no need to wait to feed baby, feed the baby when ever they are hungry. I will spend about 2 to 3 hours with you and be able to view at least 1 feeding during that time. We will address babies needs and your concerns and work to make you comfortable in any situation. We will address the pregnancy, labor, baby and your health history. Included based on needs- an exam of baby, weighted feed, skin to skin, time for education and hands on learning for any concerns, write a detailed care plan to help you review all information given.
- At the end of visit I will provide an invoice for payment, insurance claim letter and claim form for your possible reimbursement.

- A session is 2-3 hours.
- Sessions beyond 3 hours will be charged $50/hour.
- Active Duty must show proof, DOD and contractor not included
- In-person session are in the comfort of your home or in my office
- Virtual sessions are via Zoom
- Insurances are out of network- you will receive a letter and insurance form to submit for possible reimbursement
- Follow up appointment pricing will be determined at first visit, but will not exceed pricing above
